Artists’ Reception: Friday, September 6, 6 - 8 p.m.
Artistry is pleased to present the Sumi-e Society of America’s 56th Annual
National Juried Exhibition, hosted by the local Ming Chiao Chapter. This large
group exhibition will display examples of the best current East Asian brush
painting and calligraphy as well as further the Society’s mission; to foster
and encourage an appreciation of East Asian brush painting techniques; serve as
a cultural bridge between East and West; and to furnish information to all
persons who wish to learn about this art.
This year’s exhibition will be juried and judged by nationally recognized
artists Yuming Zhu and Hong Zhang. A combination of cash and other awards,
approximating $4500 in value, will be awarded.
