Art offered for Shop4Vasculitis
Flowering Alone
by Casey Shannon
Shop4Vasculitis

I support Shop4Vasculitis. 20% of the net sales from the purchase of specially selected original framed sumi-e go towards the Ilya Peckerman Fund which benefits The Vasculitis Foundation , the international organization that leads education, awareness and research in support of those with vasculitis. Vasculitis is the inflammation of the arteries that can occur anywhere in the body.

Vasculitis represents a family of rare diseases that can affect people of all ages.

I have teamed up with TV personality Pamela Peckerman to help support this organization with my art. I am pleased to be included in her favorite picks.

Twitter Art Exhibit #2

Poster for Moss Charity Exhibit

I will join international artists from around the globe in an exhibition to raise funds for a Norwegian Woman's Crisis Center. I have donated the below sumi-e for the exhibition which has been organized by Swedish-American artist David Sandum. The Exhibition comprises of 226 hand-painted original artworks from 29 countries (including; India, China, Japan, Finland, Iceland, Netherlands, Germany, UK, US, Australia, Canada, Sudan, Ireland, Somalia, South Africa, Sweden, Norway, Hungary, Switzerland, France, Spain, Venezuela, Mexico and Italy).

The exhibition, only the second of its kind will be heavily promoted via the social media application twitter, using the hashtag #twitterartexhibit. Opened by the towns Mayor and covered by the national Norwegian Press, the show will raise much needed funds for the crisis center by the sale or auction of the artworks.

The Women's Crisis Center in Moss, is where abused women and children can get help. The center also provides a 24 hour phone-service, counseling, food and shelter. It has lost a lot of its funding over the past year and had staffing cut from 19 to 11. This is a very important cause, not only for the women in a crisis situation but also for their children.

See their website for more information  (Norwegian)

You can purchase this poster to help contribute to the cause by going HERE

The Exhibition opens on Thursday the 12th of April and runs until Mid -June. There is a video being made of the art and I will share this with you when it becomes available on YouTube.
